We have some other great activities that fit into our Lifestyle Section. The cost is a loonie and there is a 50/50 draw for $1.00. Refreshments of tea/coffee and cookies are available at intermission.  Most activities run from September to May, with a few exceptions and there is a Christmas celebration and end of season banquet.  New members are always welcome.

BOOK CLUB

The book club meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at 1pm. The members discuss what everyone is reading and usually there is a special reading assignment of a book, special author or subject. Refreshments are served and a special book draw is held. The cost is a toonie which goes towards refreshments and large print books for the Bay Shore Library.

The craft group donates a substantial amount of money to Bayshore every year from our sales.

MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION

EVERY MONDAY at 6:30 p.m. at BayShore Seniors Club:

Practice Mindfulness and Meditation for Stress, Anxiety, Sleep, Focus, Fitness, Clarity of Mind, Pain Reduction, Conflict Resolution and More.  Together we will practice various approaches to mindfulness and guided meditation in a relaxing, safe and non-judgmental atmosphere. Beginners welcome. It’s never too late to start.
Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you’re sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment.  Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as a visualization – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mental clarity and emotional calm and stability in the moment. Contact Dawna at Bay Shore for more information or to sign up.

WOOD CARVING
