Pole Walking Moved to Stonebridge Trail, Wasaga
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Pole Walking Group has moved from Heritage Park, Elmvale, to Stonebridge Trail, Wasaga Beach (meet at the Dollarama parking lot) Wednesdays at noon. The group will resume on January 4th, 2023.

Calling All Tele-Pals
It would be an excellent idea for our members who are already tele-pals to give the members on your telephone list a call to wish them a Merry Christmas.
In the meantime, let us know if you want to stop being a tele-pal. If you don’t have your list anymore, we can send a copy, or if you need to know if your member is still a member, give either Sandy a call at 705-518-0078 or Lorri at 705-305-0063.
When talking to your members ,ask them if they would like to continue being called. We will revamp the calling list once we get feedback from you.
Please, let us know if you would like to become a tele-pal and become someone special to another member. You would be given four or five members to call each month.

What’s Up With Healthcare
What's up with Healthcare Dec 2022Healthcare is in the news almost every day. Waiting times for emergency visits and surgical procedures have skyrocketed, many have no access to a family physician, healthcare staffing levels are critical, and there are limited home care services. Some call healthcare a crisis or collapse and call for innovative and fundamental changes! These issues and more are at the top of all Ontarian’s minds.
Dr. Rose Zacharias has been a family physician in our area for over 20 years. She is a parent of four children and is the current President of the Ontario Medical Association. She understands today’s challenges. During our 90 minutes together on December 14, Dr. Zacharias kindly agreed to discuss her viewpoint with the audience and answer questions from three local community leaders and others.
We will be showing this at the Bay Shore Club tomorrow, Wednesday, December 14th, at 7:30. Please send an email to info@bayshoreseniors.ca, or call the office at 705-305-0063 to let us know you will be attending. Water and delicious popcorn will be served.

Christmas CD’s For Our Luncheon
If you have any favourite Christmas CDs and would like to bring them to our luncheon tomorrow, that would be splendid. The more variety, the better.
To our servers, I hope you will join us at 1:00 pm when the luncheon starts and then go to the serving station around 1:45 pm when the meal arrives.
Be patient with our bartenders; they just received their Smart Serve and are here for YOU! We want them to keep coming back to our events. Dress as you would for a Christmas event, and have a wonderful time.

The Executive is hosting a Volunteer Appreciation luncheon to recognize our outstanding volunteer(s) of the year Tuesday, January 10th, @ noon. We will serve Chili con-Carne (vegetarian and regular), salad and buns, and our General Meeting cake for dessert. This luncheon is open to all members.
There will be a charge of $5.00 when you purchase your ticket, which will be refunded when you attend. The bar will be open, and one glass of wine is complimentary.
To purchase a ticket, drop by the club Tuesday – Friday from 12:00 – 3:00 pm. Or, you can buy a ticket at our General Meeting on December 13th at 2:00 pm.

Christmas Has Arrived At Bay Shore
The Club looks beautiful all decked out for Christmas. It really makes me feel festive each time I walk in, especially when I start sucking on those candy canes.
Thank you to Lynn, who coordinated our wonderful team of ladies: Cathy, Josephine, Cheryl, Gillian, and Cindy. And; I found my man to go up on the ladder – that would be our wonderful Helen! Hah Helen, you are a great sport!
Without your support we wouldn’t have a festive themed club for our Christmas Luncheon Thursday, December 8th at 1:00 pm.
