Barrie Art Club Show and Sale featuring our Linda Teske
Spotlight ON: Linda Teske
Club Member Artistic Talent Showcased.
On Sunday, September 11, 2022, 11:00 – 1:30 pm, Linda’s artwork will be featured in a show and sale at the Barrie Art Club, 11 King Street, Unit 8. One of her pictures was chosen in the Barrie Art Club’s People’s Choice category, which resulted in an invitation to display her paintings at Victoria Village for the summer.
Linda Teske is a local artist who has a passion for landscape painting, and capturing the beauty of moving water. She has used various mediums in her artwork, including oil, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolours and acrylics. She is a self-taught artist and has attended many art workshops to develop her skills further. She often paints outdoors and also meets weekly to paint with a small group at Bay Shore Seniors’ Club with a group of Woodland Beach artists.
Linda sincerely wishes to thank everyone for their support and the opportunity to showcase her art.
Linda personally welcomes everyone to come out and see the artwork displayed at the Barrie Art Club from 11:00 am till 1:30 pm.

Volunteers to put tables back up on Stage!

Not Your Gramma’s Bingo
Before I go after a license, can I get a vote on how many members are interested in playing? I am thinking of Saturday afternoons through the fall and winter.

Last Day for Adult Bingo
As Bill Brown, Frank Pellegrino, Art Deveau, and Gord Colton are going in to vara-thane the Main Hall’s floor the week-end of August 26th, we will be cancelling Monday, August 29th Bingo.
Last night for playing Bingo will be Monday, August 22nd
We have had a great summer with our Kids and Adult Bingo. A big thank you to those members who supported and participated, and to those who volunteered to help run this activity.

Basic Yoga – Last Two (2) Weeks in August

Sonia has offered to continue our Basic Yoga classes Wednesday mornings at 10:00 for the next two (2) weeks – August 24th and 31st. We have also purchased blocks for you to use. They are worth $49.99 for a set of two (2). We are selling them at $10.00 each. Email me at info@bayshoreseniors.ca if you are interested in purchasing one.
If you are all still enjoying and wish to continue, we can talk to Cheryl and Sonia and see what we can offer you in September. Let me know your thoughts.

Dance and Games Night
Join Us for Dance & Games Night!
We have added various games and other activities to our September 23rd “Hear Us Roar” dance. We also have some other fun activities that we are keeping under our hats. We can’t give away all our secrets.
Included is 1920’s themed finger food served between 8:00 – 9:00 pm (don’t forget to eat before you come), a band “Figgs & Gibbons” to play all our favourite oldies music, with a touch of some older Chandra. There will be something for everyone!
Does this sound more appealing to you? Would you be willing to be part of the committee to make this a success? Please email info@bayshoreseniors.ca if you are eager to volunteer as part of the committee, or are willing to help with food preparation, etc. If so, give us a thumbs up, and next time you are in the Club, purchase your tickets. If not, please let us know what you are looking for as an event. There will be a signup sheet in the lounge shortly.
