WE NEED A QUORUM

 

I am attaching the Minutes from the 2025 AGM (Annual General Meeting). Please review and bring them with you to our:

August AGM
Tuesday 11th at 2:00 pm.

QUORUM
We need a QUORUM for our AGM on Tuesday, August 11. Please come out and support your Club, and get the amendments to the By-Law approved.

MEMBERSHIP
Great time to get your membership fees paid. The fees are presently $40.00. Late fees will be charged after August 31 of $45.00. New member fees will remain at $40.00 throughout the year. We will have a table set up before and after the AGM on Tuesday.

AGENDA

  1. Call to Order & Welcome: Official opening of the meeting, introductions of presenters.
  2. Quorum & Notice: Confirmation right at the outset that enough members are present to make decisions valid (quorum) and proof that proper meeting notice was given
  3. Approval of Previous Minutes: Review and approval of the minutes from the last AGM
  4. Reports – President/Chair’s Report: Overview of the organization’s yearly achievements.
  5.  Financials:
    • Presentation of the financial statements.
    • Presentation of the Auditor’s Report.
    • Appointment of the Auditor for the upcoming year
    • 6. Elections: Election/Swearing in of new Board Directors.
    • 7. Special Business: Voting on any by-law changes or amendments, or special resolutions.
    • 8. Q&A I Open Forum: An opportunity for members to ask questions.
    • 9. Adjournment: Formal closing of the meeting

FOOD BANK

This is the time we give either a monitary donation, or food to the Food Bank. Thank you for supporting.

Food Bank Supplies Required

  • Peanut butter
  • Canned soup
  • Canned fruit
  • Canned vegetables
  • Canned stew
  • Canned fish
  • Canned beans
  • Pasta (most prefer whole grain)
  • Rice (most prefer brown rice)

They could also use items like juice boxes and granola bars (no nuts), among other things.

ANNIVERSARY TEA – 50 YEARS
Celebrate our 50th Anniversary Tea on Saturday, April 26th, at 1:30 p.m. (Please note time change from 2:00 to 1:30 pm). Tickets are available today or at the

General Meeting.
We are asking for a $5.00 refundable ticket from members. If your significant other wishes to join you, there will be a non-refundable charge of $5.00. We are bringing you back to the 1970s, when Bay Shore was a thought in our members’ heads. Dress in 70’s if you wish. There will be a musical group of two, appetizers and dessert, and the bar will be open.

FOOD BANK – ELMVALE
Cereal, Canned Tomatoes, Canned Pasta Sauce, Cookies, Canned Fruit, Peanut Butter, Cream of Chicken Soup, School Pudding Cups, Drinking Boxes, Canned Beef Gravy, Canned Meat (not Tuna) Canned Turkey Gravy, Pancake Mix, Pancake Syrup, Tomato Juice, Apple Juice in Can, Men and Ladies Shampoo.

FOOD BANK – WASAGA BEACH
Canned meat and salmon – no tuna needed, Peanut butter and Jam, Dried legumes, rice, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned stews, tea, coffee) instant & ground), Cereals, Oatmeal (Quick/Instant), Pasta and Kraft Dinner, Soup, Soad Crackers, Dried milk, Pancake Mix (add water only), Pancake syrup, salt and pepper, sugar, flour, milk, peanut free snacks for children’s lunches, fresh and frozen produce is welcome, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise.
Both food banks desperately need cloth bags, like Walmart bags, to store food. Thank you!
