The Celebration of Life will take place at Norbert’s Home. His address is 2 Chemin Theresa, Tiny, Ontario.

I will send another reminder out closer to the date.

Feeling Pampered – Part 2

I can’t believe I forgot to mention our one and only Helen Gibb, the Belle of the Party. I must have thought I added you when I wrote Helen Manion. My apologies!

Sue Millington is another core committee member whom I didn’t mention. She would have been there if not for trying to get back home from holiday and the weather creating havoc for them. They just arrived home as we were setting up on Saturday.

CONGRATULATIONS

Once again, we congratulate Lynn Davis for her extraordinary ideas and special little touches that make these events exceptional. And her ideas wouldn’t have been possible without her core committee and all their tremendous help in making the event come together. Thank you to Corrine Piper, Tony Worsley, Anita Schrepfer, Dee Colton, Helen Gibb, Sue Millington, Judy Cabell, Helen Manion, and Lorri Watson. And a very special thank you to Lynn for creating these remarkable events.

Everyone Felt Pampered

WE LAUNCHED OUR PAMPER PARTY, ENSURING THAT THE WEATHER WOULD COOPERATE

AND WHAT A DAY IT WAS

WE STARTED WITH A LIMIT OF 20

Over 28 people attended, including the core committee, 36 in total. The guests were ushered in with a glass of sparkling wine or Sprite with frozen blueberries added as a touch of flare. Everyone enjoyed a light lunch and many desserts. From there, as a group, we watched a demonstration of Tai Chi with Tina instructing. Then we had a reading by a local author, Donna Carrick, and Facial Exercises by Lynn.

OFF TO OUR STATIONS

Where to go? There are many great choices: I Ching and Tarot Card Reading, a Blind Date with a Book, or an Electric Back/Shoulder Massager. Or, do I go with Make It and Take It Raspberry Sugar Scrub for my lips in this cold weather, to a warm, soothing hand massage, then have my fingernails filed and polished – that sounds delightful! Then, I could go off to relax at the Reiki Station. OMG, the two beautiful dogs from Therapeutic Paws are so comforting with their unconditional love. Last on my list, if you want to let go of Stress, I suggest Scribble Your Stress Away – Free Writing or a more soothing station, Drawing on Rocks.

LOVE ALL AROUND

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon of pampering and participated in all the activities they were interested in. They had lots of feel-good, me-time fun, excitement, laughs, and mingling with new and old friends. Everyone left, saying, “If we do this again, let me know!” And if that wasn’t enough, the guests were given a swag bag to say, “Thank you for joining us.”
