It’s BBQ Season at Bay Shore!
If picking up tickets at the next GM meeting, do it on Tuesday, JULY 12th, not June! And the date for the BBQ is Thursday, July 21st, 2022.
Don’t those pork chops look delicious! Don’t miss out on our BBQ – it promises a good time. We can choose chicken or pork chop, potatoes, and dessert. The bar is open, and there will be live music. If the gods smile upon us, we will have a gorgeous day outside – if not, we are prepared to bring it indoors.
Tickets are $20.00. You can pick them up any Wednesday or Friday between 12 – 3 pm. If you are planning on picking them up at the next General Meeting, Tuesday, July 12th @ 2:00 pm (about a week before the event), please email info@bayshoreseniors.ca so we have an idea how many members and neighbours will be attending.

Whoops! I asked for help in June; it’s actually for July’s GM. Thank you to all our members who let me know I really need to focus more on dates and time.
What do you say? One (1) month’s cake and coffee/tea set-up before and after General Meeting Tuesday, July 12th, @ 2:00 pm.
If you don’t volunteer by the 30th of June, we won’t have coffee/tea or cake. Not because of CoVid-19 this time; it will be because we couldn’t get anyone to volunteer.

Bingo is a Go!
We finally have our license for Bingo! We are starting to get a few volunteers, thank you very much. We only need a couple more. Could you give up your Monday afternoon or Monday evening for eight weeks and give us a hand. You don’t even have to do eight weeks – maybe you have three or four weeks you can give us. That would be great also.
The kids, I know, would enjoy playing once again.

Passing of Doug Mulligan
Doug Mulligan, a member of Bay Shore since 2009; Helen Gibb’s life partner of 40 years, passed away peacefully last Tuesday, June 14th, 2022, at the Tomkin’s House, Hospice Huronia.
You see the clouds hovering over Bay Shore; they are sad clouds from losing Doug from this place called home.
However, when you look over yonder at Helen Gibb, the sun is shining, and she is smiling because she knows that Doug is in a happier place, without any pain.
I was hoping to have an obituary, but I didn’t want to leave this announcement any longer.
We at Bay Shore Seniors wish you, Helen, long loving memory of Doug in peace and love.

Our Health – Antivirals: The New Wonder Drugs
Join us June 16, 2022, from 7:30 – 9 pm at the Bay Shore Seniors’ Club for an engaging conversation about how antiviral medications have become the new wonder drugs in the fight against diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis and COVID-19.

Summer Hours at Bay Shore
As many of our activities are winding down for the summer, so will the hours the club is open.
As of June 13th, July and August the club will be open Wednesday and Friday from 12 – 3 only.
The following activities will be continuing through the summer: Bid Euchre, Bridge, Access Art and Wood Carving. We will be starting a six (6) week session of Yoga starting in July, along with our kids and adult bingo.
