REMINDER: Donating to Ukrainian Crisis Appeal
A friendly reminder to please put monies collected at your activity into the Food Bank jar for the Ukrainian Emergency Appeal, whether it be half your “Share the Wealth” or monies you intended to give to the Club. If you have $200 to give to the Club, why don’t you give $100 to the Food Bank jar and $100 to the Club?
For the Food Bank jar, it will be monetary donations only (cash or cheque). No Food. Food donations will still go to the Elmvale and Wasaga Food Bank as usual so continue bringing those food items in.
Also, if you know of an organization other than Red Cross that will get the money to Ukraine, please let me know, and we will go with that group.
Thank you for your anticipated support of this emergency appeal.

We Have Room to Add YOU to Chair Yoga!
Everyone who has been attending our Chair Yoga classes love them. We have a few members who thought they wouldn’t come out for anything, gave it a try and are pleased they did.
Great news! We have room to add YOU to our class. If you were wanting to join the group, and we had a limit on our numbers, now you can. There are three sessions left Tuesday mornings at 10:00 am. And you will be able to pick it up on your first time out.

Would the member who has the key for the sound system, please return it to Office.
If the office is closed, drop it in the mail slot on the door.
If we don’t receive it in the next day or so, we will change the lock.

Club Was Entered By Unauthorized Member
Huronia Alarms advised us on Saturday, April 23, one of our members entered the club while the Club was closed. This member entered without signing in and did not disarm the alarm. The Board is more upset that our member did NOT FOLLOW PROPER PROCEDURES when entering the building.
I know I’m not going to get you to identify yourself, but would you please ask someone to show you the proper rules of the Club moving forward.
Bill Brown (in this case) or I then must go to the club, inspect all the doors, etc. and reset the alarm. This can be midnight most times. I’m sure you wouldn’t appreciate having to run out at this time.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 am May 7th, at Carruthers & Davidson in Wasaga Beach. Service held at Noon.

All protocols are in place – wearing masks at all times, even when you are 2 feet away from one another. We have been able to keep our club safe so far; let’s keep up the vigilance. And, of course, everyone must be double vaxed. Congratulations to all of you!

1ST Guest Speaker Series at LifeStyles in 2022
The Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre is North Simcoe’s only centre and the first rural cancer support centre in Ontario, founded in 2011. Its mission is to provide emotional, physical, social, and spiritual support, education, and information to complement the medical system for people affected by cancer.
Eric Walters became Executive Director of the GBCSC in April 2021. He, like everyone, has been impacted by cancer. He has seen its impact on family members and experienced first-hand losing a household member to cancer in his youth. He is passionate about building this local resource for those in our community to benefit.
Please join us at LifeStyles on April 27th at 9:30 to welcome Eric Walters, Executive Director of GBCSC and hear about their strides in our community to help people affected with cancer.
All members are welcome for coffee and snacks at 9:00. Our guest speaker will start at 9:30.
