RIVAGE de la Baie… Elves Needed…
RIVAGE de la BAIE
Win Dinner for five. Tickets are only $20.00, making them a great stocking stuffer. The atmosphere will be like dining in an exclusive restaurant for you and your four friends.
The cut off for tickets is: December 10th.
ELVES NEEDED TO SET UP TABLES AND CHAIRS
Since we have 100 members attending our Christmas Luncheon we need a couple of elves to help set up tables and chairs at 9:30 am on December 11th. If you are able to volunteer, please let either Lorri or Lynn know. Thank you!
BOOKS, BOOKS, AND MORE BOOKS
Do you know one of the worst things to do is cut off the spine of a book. We have people dumping their books, and I’m not talking a few, I’m talking about 20/30 books or more, at our front door.
If you see, or hear of anyone doing this, please let us know. They MUST speak to the LIBRARY STAFF.
Thank you,
Lorri
One Vote for the Cabinet

“Black cabinet FREE for taking as long as you can make it disappear soon.”
One member voted yes. As you may or may not know, I don’t know who you are when you vote. Therefore, if you voted yes and are still interested in the cabinet, please email info@bayshoreseniors.ca.
Thank you,
Lorri

Remembrance Day General Meeting

Next Tuesday, November 12th, is our Remembrance Day Celebration before our General Meeting. Lynn, has put the program together this year, and it’s going to be special.
Food Bank
You have done a terrific job bringing items in for the Elmvale and Wasaga Food Bank. This month, they need Cereal, Canned Tomatoes, Canned Pasta Sauce, Cookies, Canned Fruit, Peanut Butter, Cream of Chicken Soup, Drinking Boxes, Canned Beef and/or Turkey, Pancake Mix, Pancake Syrup, Tomato Juice, Apple Juice in Can, Mens and Ladies Shampoo, and Canned Meat (not Tuna). Please bring even one (1) item when you attend our General Meeting or a monetary donation. Thank you so much for your attention and participation.
Travel
The November trip to see Merry and Bright has been cancelled. We will return the payment at the November General Meeting, so please come into the craft room to pick up your money.
A lunch box was left on the bus after the last trip to My Fair Lady this Wednesday, October 23. Please pick it up from Deb Gutsell.
Christmas Luncheon Tickets
Our Christmas Luncheon is scheduled for December 11th at 12:30 p.m. Lynn will sell tickets in the Craft Room. They are $30 for members and $35 for your significant other or non-member friend.
And, as always, enjoy a coffee/tea and a special snack afterward.

Covid Back during Fall/Winter Season

SANITIZING YOUR HANDS when you come to Bay Shore Seniors Club is your first step in prevention. We have three machines, one at each entrance door and one as you walk into the main washrooms, along with many of the small sanitizers in all areas of the Club.
NOT FEELING WELL, please stay home. I haven’t seen anything spread as quickly.
To protect yourself and your Club, stay home if you don’t feel well!
Thank you,
Lorri
Anyone for a Game of Cribbage?

Finally, we have a convenor for Cribbage, Donna Umlah. Thank you, Donna, for stepping up. Cribbage will be played every Thursday evening starting November 7th at 6:30 p.m.
If you are interested, show up. This is a trendy game, so if you haven’t tried it, this is your opportunity to do so.

Halloween Games Day
What a Great Success!
We want to thank everyone who helped make it a fun afternoon, not all by name, because I’d be sure to miss someone but the decorators, set-up people, greeters, kitchen staff, bar staff and the clean-up crew. A special thanks to Marion Keddy, who kept the wine flowing and me going, and Elaine Stephenson, who donated the prize for best costume.
It was great that so many of you got dressed up. Congrats to our new member, Nadine, who won. A special mention goes to Helen Manion for some of her more innovative answers to the trivia.
Thanks again, everyone. I hope you had a good time!
Sue and Lynn
Here’s a few of the great costumes that were seen.
