Valuable Pickleball Paddle Missing

I’m reaching out to ask for your help. Last Friday, a valuable Pickleball Paddle was left at the Club and unfortunately disappeared after shuffleboard. It means a lot to someone, so if you’ve come across it or know where it is, please return it to Lynn in the Bay Shore office.

Revised Time for VON Smart
Before we changed Pickleball’s time slots, I promised VON Smart Exercise they could use the time slot from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. on October 11th.
I’m sorry, Pickleball. I see the jam-packed time slot, but I must cancel Friday, October 11th, from 10:30 to 12:00. The afternoon Pickleball is still available. Thank you for understanding.
VON Smart Exercise is available Friday, October 11th, from 9:30 to 10:30. Elmvale Community Centre is closed that day, so we are opening up another time slot from 11:00 to 12:00. Come out and join us. It is a fantastic exercise routine.
I hope to see some members from the Elmvale VON Smart class.

We have had a couple of cancellations for the trip to see My Fair Lady, and we would like to re-fill seats. If you are interested or know someone who would like to go, please call one of the Committee.
Also, the November trip to see Merry and Bright needs 15 more people to join us on our Christmas trip. We have until Oct 17th to achieve this number; otherwise, we will be forced to cancel.
If you are interested in joining us, please call us as we collect the payment at the general meeting on Tuesday, Oct 8th.
You will find us in the craft room at 1 pm.

Invitation to Our Volunteer Luncheon
A warm invitation goes out to our wonderful volunteers and those who haven’t volunteered yet to our special Volunteer Luncheon (members-only) event to celebrate you! You’ll experience the thrilling themes firsthand as you participate in helping create our 50th Anniversary Celebrations.
When you attend our General Meeting on the 8th, you will see a PowerPoint presentation created by Lynn that gives you a taste of the first three months of 2025.
Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 17th, at 12:30 p.m. We are having Lasagna, Caesar salad, and dessert. And knowing Lynn, she will have a game or two up her sleeve. You can purchase your $5.00 refundable tickets starting Tuesday, October 1st, at the Club between 12:00 and 3:00 p.m. The cutoff for buying tickets is Friday, October 11th.
We will also be naming our Volunteer of the Year for 2023/24.
