Table Tennis Is Back!

We are delighted that Renate and Klaus Koenig have agreed to run Table Tennis Thursdays from 12:00 – 1:30 pm. Last year we had a good number of our members interested in playing, and we hope you will come back and join them. I understand you all had a great time.

Gentle Yoga and Mini Putters

Gentle Yoga, taught by Sonia, has moved to Tuesday mornings. I wanted to let our mini putters know that you should feel confident joining the class, whether a beginner or more experienced, once your banquet is done on September 27th.
Sonia, Wendy and Cheryl teach Gentle Yoga with modifications for varying levels. So no matter your experience, you will benefit from the classes and fit in nicely.
Sonia’s classes will continue until October 18th unless she can teach an eight-week course, which will take us to November 8th.
Bay Shore has been blessed with our instructors. Members have been very pleased with the workout and exercise that yoga has provided them.
I hope to see you out on Tuesdays.

The Survey says:

-
Not interested in a dance
-
I don’t want to come out at night.
-
Not ready for close contact in a crowd
-
Not interested in playing games
The Executive Board has decided to cancel our “Hear Us Roar” dance and “Volunteer Night.” We have also been asked if we can have a Celebration of Life, which has also been declined. Let’s hope things lighten up in time for our “Anniversary Tea!”
During this time, we will have our kitchen inspected, get it upgraded to the standards of the Simcoe Health Department, and try to get a few members to take the “Food Handlers” course online.
In the meantime, continue enjoying the activities we have to offer. If there is an activity you’d like to see at the Club, let us know!

REVISED: Fall Activity Schedule
I apologize; the Activity Schedule sent out last night was a disaster. I’m unsure if it was because I haven’t been feeling well, trying to work late at night, or sending the wrong file.
I have produced an updated Schedule with accurate start dates and times. If we have a “TBD,” it means the activity will go; just not sure on a date. We will keep you informed. You will find the corrected one in a Newsletter that has already been sent, and hard copies will be available at the Club tomorrow.
Again, sorry for any inconvenience.

Barrie Art Club – Time Change

Note time change: Sunday, September 11, 2022, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm;
NOT 11:00 am – 1:30 pm
Sunday, September 11, 2022, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Linda’s artwork will be featured in a show and sale at the Barrie Art Club, 11 King Street, Unit 8. The picture displayed above was chosen in their “People’s Choice” category, which resulted in an invitation to show her paintings at Victoria Village for the summer (September 1st – 26th). Victoria Village is at 11 King Street, Unit 8, at the Barrie Art Club.
Linda Teske is a local artist passionate about landscape painting and capturing the beauty of moving water. She is a self-taught artist and has attended many art workshops to develop her skills further. She often paints outdoors and also meets weekly to paint with a small group at Bay Shore Seniors’ Club with a group of Woodland Beach artists.
Thank you, everyone, for your support, and I hope you make it out to see the display.
Please join us Sunday, September 11th, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.
